Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know what type of engineering I want to study?

Not at all! This program is specifically designed for students who want to explore different engineering disciplines before making a decision. By the end, you'll have a much clearer picture of which fields interest you most.

What math background do I need?

Students should have completed Algebra 2. While engineering uses advanced math, our program focuses on conceptual understanding and applications rather than complex calculations. You'll understand what engineers do without needing calculus.

Is this program hands-on?

While conducted online, we incorporate virtual demonstrations, design challenges, case studies of real engineering projects, and interactive discussions that bring engineering concepts to life. You'll engage with real-world engineering problems and solutions.

What is the class format?

Classes are held live online every Sunday from 10 AM to 1 PM EST for 4 consecutive weeks. Each 3-hour session includes interactive lectures, discussions, mini design challenges, and Q&A time with the instructor.

Will this help with college applications?

Absolutely! Demonstrating that you've explored engineering fields before declaring a major shows colleges that you're serious and thoughtful about your academic path. The certificate of completion documents your initiative.

Can I get a certificate?

Yes! Students who complete all four sessions receive a Certificate of Completion from EdQuill Academy, recognizing their achievement in exploring the engineering disciplines.
