Dr. Saltzer is a mathematical physicist whose research focused on quantum gravity and unified field theories, the same physics that explains black holes, Einstein’s relativity, and the origins of the universe.
He discovered his love of teaching in graduate school. As a university professor, he won several national teaching awards, including National Professor of the Year. He has since written more than 25 textbooks for Pearson and McGraw-Hill, many still used in classrooms around the world. Today he leads several academic publishing and curriculum development companies serving students across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Dr. Saltzer is also a coach of the US team for the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), a worldwide physics competition for high school students.
He teaches physics, mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, and engineering. He is especially passionate about mentoring bright, motivated students who want to go beyond the school curriculum and reach their academic goals.
