The Story of the Universe
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective for all enrollments in The Story of the Universe
EdQuill Academy is committed to providing high-quality educational programs while maintaining fair and transparent enrollment and cancellation practices.
Because The Story of the Universe is a small-group program with enrollment limited to 10 students, each registration reserves a seat that may otherwise have been offered to another student. The following Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all enrollments in this program.
This policy applies whether a student enrolls in an individual Part ($500) or participates through the monthly enrollment option ($250 per month).
1.Cancellation Before a Part Begins
A parent or guardian may cancel a student’s enrollment and receive a full refund of tuition paid for that Part if the cancellation request is received at least 14 calendar days before the first scheduled Sunday session of that Part.
All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to admin@edquillacademy.com.
Eligible refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
2.Cancellation After a Part Has Begun
Once the first scheduled live session of a Part has occurred, tuition paid for that Part becomes non-refundable, regardless of whether the student attends the first session or any subsequent sessions.
Students who are unable to attend a scheduled class may access class recordings when recordings are available as part of the program.
Enrollment in one Part does not automatically obligate a family to enroll in subsequent Parts unless the family has separately registered for those Parts.
3.Monthly Enrollment
Students participating under the $250 monthly enrollment option may discontinue future months by submitting a cancellation request by email at least 14 calendar days before the next scheduled billing date.
Once the first scheduled Sunday session for the current enrollment month has occurred, tuition for that month is non-refundable.
If a cancellation request is received within the required notice period, no additional monthly tuition will be charged after the current enrollment period.
Cancellation requests must be emailed to admin@edquillacademy.com.
4.Cancellations by EdQuill Academy
If EdQuill Academy cancels the course, a Part, or scheduled sessions and does not provide replacement sessions or another comparable method of delivering the program, families will receive a refund for the applicable undelivered portion of the tuition paid.
Refunds resulting from an EdQuill Academy cancellation will be issued to the original payment method.
5.Missed Classes and Student Absences
Tuition is not refundable or prorated because of:
- Student absences
- Missed classes
- No-shows
- Scheduling conflicts
- Vacations or travel
- Voluntary withdrawal after the applicable refund deadline
When available, recordings may be provided for missed sessions so that students can continue with the course material.
6.Late Cancellations and Seat Replacement
Cancellation requests received less than 14 calendar days before the applicable deadline are not eligible for a refund under the standard refund policy.
However, because enrollment is limited, EdQuill Academy may, at its sole discretion, provide a tuition credit, transfer, or refund if the student’s vacated seat is subsequently filled by another paying student.
Any such accommodation is discretionary and is not guaranteed.
7.How to Cancel Enrollment or Request a Refund
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted by email to admin@edquillacademy.com.
Please include:
- Student Name
- Parent/Guardian Name
- Course/Part or Enrollment Month
- Reason for Cancellation
The date EdQuill Academy receives the cancellation email will be used to determine whether the request falls within the applicable refund period.
Approved refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method within 10–14 business days.
Please note that submitting a cancellation or refund request does not, by itself, establish eligibility for a refund. Refund eligibility is determined according to this policy.
